National Science Week 2026

Girl Guides Australia is excited to once again participate in National Science Week through CSIRO’s Robot Responders National Science Experiment.
This companion guide has been developed specifically for Girl Guide Leaders and accompanies the CSIRO Robot Responders Community Guide. It provides Girl Guide-specific programming ideas, age-appropriate facilitation suggestions and practical information to help you run the unplugged Robot Responders activities with your Unit.
Through these activities, Guides will investigate how engineers use robotics to solve real-world problems in environments that are too dirty, dangerous, or difficult for people to access.

ReachOut Kiribati Challenge

Guides around the world share the same Promise and values of friendship, service, and leadership. This challenge helps girls learn about Guiding in Kiribati (pronounced Kiri-bas) and the Pacific region, and how Australian Guides can support their Guiding sisters.

GGV National Reconciliation Week NAIDOC 2026 Guiding Activity Pack

The Girl Guides Victoria Inclusion and Diversity Team have put together some different activities which you could utilise within your Units in honour of either of these two weeks or at any other time of the year when your Unit has chosen to focus on Australian First Nations culture. The activities will encourage understanding of Australia’s First Nations culture, our nations true history and inspire healthy reconciliation for the future of Australia which is something both of these themes share.

GGA World Thinking Day Activity Pack

In keeping with the theme of Our Friendship, GGA have put together a great pack of activities that leaders and Guides may choose to incorporate into your World Thinking Day celebrations.

Child Safe Child Friendly Activity Pack

The CSCF Activity Pack – Leader Resource has five child safe activities (with instructions and materials) for Leaders and Girl Guides to explore.

The activities begin with developing Unit and Camp rules and helping Guides recognise when feeling safe or taking safe risks might become unsafe – in Guiding and in life.  There is then an activity to help Guides name a handful of trusted adults they can go to for support and another to create a plan for what to do in an unsafe situation.

We would encourage all Leaders to run the activities with their Guides on a regular basis.

WAGGGS World Thinking Day 2026 Activity Pack

Celebrated since 1926, World Thinking Day is a day of international friendship. It is an opportunity to connect with our global Movement and fundraise for over 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 153 countries. This year, we are celebrating 100 years of World Thinking Day and the theme is ‘Our Friendship’! Get ready to have fun, build friendships and mark this special day with Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world!

This resource has been created by TWINKL and GGA to support girls to better prepare for the unique social situation that is Anzac Day.
This ‘social situation’ resource includes short personalised texts, accompanied by visuals which can be used to provide reassurance or explain a new or unfamiliar situation.

Voices Against Violence

Voices against Violence is an international, non-formal co-educational curriculum which engages girls, young women, boys, young men, adults, parents and the community in conversations about violence. The initiative is unique in that it addresses the root causes of violence against girls and sets the groundwork for real social change.

Period Prepared Program

Navigating girlhood is tricky enough but managing a period while at camp or a sleepover is one of their biggest concerns say 68% of girls in our recent survey. 84% fear leaking through their clothes at sleepovers or camp which adds another layer of anxiety. As may as 1 in 3 girls decide not to stay at friends or at camp because of their period!

Not anymore! To give girls the confidence to be period-prepared, reusable leak-proof period wear brand Modibodi has partnered with Girl Guides Australia to change the conversation around camps and sleepovers – because Periods Don’t Pause Adventures!

GGA Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan

Girl Guides Australia is committed to being a diverse and inclusive organisation which is a welcoming space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and women. GGA aims to empower all girls and young women to make a difference in the world. This first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) provides direction and space for all our members to reflect, learn, acknowledge and embrace a more inclusive space through both personal and organizational growth.

WAGGGS Youth Consultation Pack

WAGGGS are launching a global youth consultation to better understand our Movement and they would like to hear from all youth members. This activity pack provides leaders with all they need to know about running this activity within a Unit.
