ALQP Training
Congratulations!
You are joining a group of women who are committed to our Mission to empower girls and young women to discover their potential as leaders of their world.
The Program offers fun, friendship and many opportunities for girls to develop their leadership skills along with building capability in teamwork and resilience while having fun and making lifelong friends.
The Australian Leadership and Qualification Program (ALQP) is made up of Qualifications for Leadership, Management and Learning and Development roles in Girl Guiding. There are also ongoing learning options for all Volunteers.
Each Qualification includes:
- Role-based activities
- Reading and reflection exercises
- Tailored face to face/or online training programs
- eGuiding modules
- Support and guidance from a Mentor.
Progress is tracked using the ALQP Passports (the password for this section is available from your District/Region or State Girl Guide Organisation).
Next steps:
- Check that you have fulfilled the membership requirements of your State Girl Guide Organisation (SGGO).
- Choose a date that suits you to complete your training (see the training calendars below).
- Click the link to register for either Leader or Manager Training.
- An email is sent automatically to your State Girl Guide Organisation (SGGO) asking them to approve your registration (they will check that all membership requirements and eGuiding modules have been completed).
- If you have completed the necessary requirements, you will receive an email confirming your spot on your chosen training once your SGGO confirms you have completed all the pre-training requirements. You will receive the ZOOM link for the training in the week before the training.
- If you have not completed all the necessary steps, you will receive an email asking you to contact your State Girl Guide Organisation.
Training for Leader Qualifications is offered online on a monthly basis.
Training for Manager Qualifications is offered online on a bi-monthly basis.
