Hello to all in Guiding around Australia and welcome to Term 2
As I write this update, I am on Gadubanud lands of the Eastern Maar Nation where my husband and I look after 50 acres of beautiful Otway land to the west of Geelong in Victoria. My study looks out over one of our dams which is currently surrounded by 80 of our neighbour’s sheep. There are also over 3000 trees which we have planted in the last 10 years to improve the land for stock today and for animals and humans in the future.
There is a saying “she who plants a tree, plants a hope” and isn’t that what we are doing each week when we spend time with guides, work with volunteers, attend meetings, and make plans?…
