Girl Guides Australia News September 2025

Welcome to the latest Girl Guides Australia News. It has been an incredibly action packed three months, with lots more to come in Term 4. The highlight of the past term for me has of course being able to represent GGA at the Asia Pacific Conference in India. Among a range of topics discussed the importance of hearing from the girls and young women of WAGGGS was highlighted and the Understanding our Movement Youth Survey mentioned in this newsletter is a chance to do just that. I encourage all 5-30 year olds to complete the survey and all unit leaders to explore the Activity Pack with their Guides.
Read about how both members and non-members have the opportunity to challenge themselves with treks in Vietnam or the Snowy Mountains in 2026 and support Guiding at the same time. The Bush 2 Beach Jamboree is only a few weeks away and it is time to purchase those last minute supplies with discounts available from Snowy’s and Period Undies from Modibodi that also support GGA. And, don’t forget to take advantage of Safewill free will offer.
Finally take a moment to learn more about how Girl Guides around the country have supported their communities and the environment by participating in Clean Up Australia in March and the CSIRO Wild Watch program during National Science week in August. Guides really do make choices for a better world.
