National Coordinator – Adult

Girl Guides Australia is now welcoming applications for the role of National Coordinator, Adult.

Purpose of the role:

To coordinate and support Leader development in Girl Guiding in Australia to equip adult members with the knowledge and skills required to facilitate the implementation of the Australian Guide Program, including outdoors. This role will contribute to the development and delivery of a valuable volunteer experience for adult members. The National Coordinator works with a range of both volunteers and staff at Girl Guides Australia as well as State representatives from around the country. This role will manage 2 or more direct reports.

This role will be responsible for supporting adult members with flexible and relevant learning opportunities and resources that build effective and contemporary capability to deliver the Australian Guide Program. It will also ensure outdoor activities are being delivered by qualified leaders, compliant with relevant standards. Overall, this role will help ensure the adult experience is improved in both quality and enjoyment.

Specific requirements:

  • Membership of a State Girl Guide Organisation
  • Current Working with Children Check (or relevant equivalent in State)
  • Current Police Check
  • Extensive knowledge of Girl Guiding in Australia, and the AGP and the Australian Learning and Qualification Program

NOTE: The National Coordinator – Adult MAY NOT hold another Guiding leadership or management role at State or national level, concurrently with their tenure in this role. They MAY hold the position of Trainer (or Workshops Presenter) concurrently during their tenure in this role.
