Girl Guides get creative for UNICEF

On Friday 5th August, UNICEF Australia ran a card design workshop with girls from Lindfield Girl Guides as part of an exciting card competition to help celebrate Universal Children’s Day, 26th October 2011.

These beautiful, bright and creative designs aim to raise awareness of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and every child’s right to survival, food and nutrition, health and shelter, an education, and to participation, equality and protection.

Girl guides across NSW & ACT have the chance to join in and get creative by designing their own greeting card for UNICEF as part of this competition.
UNICEF Australia Ambassador and world renowned artist,  Ken Done, will judge the entries, picking three winning designs to create the exclusive 2011 UNICEF greeting card pack for Universal Children’s Day.
You also get the chance to vote. A fourth winning design will be selected by the public via UNICEF Australia’s facebook page, where members of the public and Girl Guides will be able to vote for their favourite card design.
