I went through Brownies/Guides/Ranger Guides/Rangers then I was a leader with my old unit. Moved house and helped start a new ranger guides unit. Been out of guiding 15 years having kids. My daughter started 2 years ago so a year ago I offered to be a leader. I've been to a couple of 'state' events and I honestly feel like "I'm back where I belong". I just feel like it's just where I'm meant to be and what I'm meant to be doing. I love working with and helping the girls, and I also get so much out of it. Love this website and the blogs. I have come back to guides as an adult (October 2010) and I must say it's been the BEST thing I have ever done. I am so glad to have found the guiding spirit again. Thank you everyone. I was a member when I was a girl. I went through Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders (Canada). Many years later I returned to be a Guide leader. I stayed for five years and stopped only with the intention of taking a year off before coming back again. I had my year off and also moved to Australia. A few months after moving to Australia, I became a leader here! For several reasons I stepped away again for a few years. Now my daughter is in Brownies and I'm ready to come back to the organization I have loved and supported for over 30 years. I’m happy to say I’ve just agreed to return to Girl Guides as a Guide leader. I was a member when I was a girl. I went through Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders (Canada).
