Guide Lines

Girl Guides Australia is pleased to announce the launch of the new Guide Lines website:

                     Guide Lines for  Girl Guides

The new Guide Lines website is a comprehensive reference tool for all of the Guiding community which contains all the information - and more - from the last updated version of Guide Lines V6.1 pdf.

This investment in technology will allow all members of Guiding to easily find what they need from a central on-line location.   By nationally coordinating the Guide Lines into one platform, the information will be easy to find, easy to understand, consistent, accurate and current.  Processes to develop and keep the information up to date are in place; the website will be constantly evolving to stay current to all changes to policy and procedures.

The Guide Lines website has been developed following feedback from the recommendations of the Policy & Procedures Reform Steering Group.  A survey was undertaken and the overwhelming response showed that the Guiding community wanted standardisation and consistency with all policy aspects, the ability to have easy online access to documents and forms in one central location and to retain the Guide Lines as the ‘go to’ information source.

The Guide Lines website project was approved by the Board of GGA in May 2015 with the aim of managing and making available all policies and procedures for Guiding in Australia.  The Guide Lines website was launched on 23 May 2016 and it now supersedes all hard (pdf) copies of the Guide Lines.

All information on the Guide Lines website will be correct at the time of posting and will be the most current.  However there will be rolling changes to the website and we welcome the opportunity to discuss and receive feedback from our State members and Stakeholders.
